When folder is set to 'Image Gallery', the images can be previewed in small size and then enlarged by clicking these small images. Unfortunately only PNG-files are supported in preview mode, but also other type of images can be opened from "missing image" icons.

Choose the "Web files" folder setting to open documents (like RTF, HTML and PDF -files) directly from the links.  
Open Download Download Documents 2
 
Choose "Documents" setting when you want to open download dialog for the files.
