Dear CIRN Members
I created this iLab to help CIRN members share ideas, readings, syllabi, news and events.

If you are looking for CIRN's main website, go to http://www.ciresearch.net/

to start using this iLab...

To upload a file or post to the Bulletin Board, you first need to create your iLab login (click on the login button above). Then email me (abishop@uiuc.edu) to tell me you've completed your login and i'll add you as a member of the CIRN iLab. Once I've done that, you can start posting.

the fine print...

iLab software can't promise 24/7 100% service, but we've been using it for courses, research groups and community projects for several years now. iLabs is a collaborative project created by people from all walks of life; it is maintained as a research and learning activity of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Ann Bishop

During our event at NDI the other month, one of the participants
spoke specifically about his interests and use of ICTs in conflict
situations in East Africa.  While lots of folks focus on the economic
aspects of ICT infrastructure, projects like the e-Voices effort in
Cyprus
<http://www.e-voices.com.cy/cyprus/en/index.aspx> and One Voice
<http://www.silentnolonger.org> on Israeli/Palestinian issues, point
to ways in which these tools can be used to safely bring together
communities previously/currently involved in conflict.
